Dental Help for Both Dentistry and Orthodontic Care.
06/19/12
I never had my baby canines pulled. As a result my permanent canines grow in though the top part of my gums and overcrowded my teeth. I could never afford dental care. I just now got a full time job that is paying me more and I hope to correct this problem. However my job only offers medical benefits and no dental. I will need to buy dental insurance on my own but I am not sure if pulling my teeth will fix them or if I will need a plan that will provide for adult orthodontic services. Are there any lower cost dental insurance plan that can help me out either way it goes?

Dr Dental Insurance on Proper Denture Care
06/16/12
Anyone who has bought dentures knows that even with dental insurance dentures can still be costly. Help your denture last longer by making sure to take proper care of them.
When cleanings try to avoid brushing your dentures, but when necessary use a soft bristle toothbrush, you still need to brush your dentures carefully. Make sure you are careful not to damage the surface of your dentures or bend the attachments. There are many good over the counter denture cleansers available that do not required you to brush your dentures.
Although you can use regular toothpaste avoid it, since dentures are sensitive and you can easy damage their surface, with abrasive toothpaste. Another cleaning option for dentures is by using an ultrasonic denture cleanser. However, make sure you buy one that has been proven safe for dentures.
DO NOT use bleach when cleaning your dentures. Also do not use vinegar as it can cause your dentures to dry out. Do not use house hold cleaners. Though there are some people that will use mild hand soup or dish soup It is not advised. If you do make sure you rinse them thoroughly in under the faucet with warm to cool water.

It not that I think the dentist is trying to rip me off but I do not have over $600 to pay for the dental care they are telling me I need. Is there any dental insurance plan that I can get that will at least cut this bill in half making it more affordable for me.

Dr Dental Insurance, Dealing with Dental Fears though Sleep Dentistry or Conscious Sedation.
05/22/12
I have a two part dental question, first I have dental fears that all the dentist I been to fail to address. In fact in most cases due to their attitude made my dental fears a larger issue.
I been told that I should go to a dentist that provides sleep dentistry or conscious sedation dentistry services. I guessing that by going to a dentist that provides that type of service my cost for care is going to be much higher. So is this the only option available to people with dental fears?
My second question is if so are there dental insurance plans that provide benefits for that type of dental care need? I would need some way of making that type of dental care affordable.
