I been looking for dental insurance for myself but I am quickly finding out that the plans I seen on line are just costly for me at this time. What I would really like to know is if getting a low cost dental discount plan really a good alternative to dental insurance?

Reply: Since there are many good low cost HMO insurance plans in California I would suggest comparing any dental discount plans you review to a HMO insurance plan. Discount plans are a good way to save cost in all your dental care services, but you typically still pay for all services just at a reduced cost.

HMO insurance plan generally provide free to little cost preventive dental care services. You can then compare the rest of the services cost to a dental discount plan savings and see which comes out ahead for you in your area
